Sunday Programs Feedback (9/26)
Hello all concerned Alleluians,
Please let us know your opinion on how the first Sunday of small GROUP and Sunday's Cool went.
It was a little chaotic, just figuring out where and how to do everything, but I think everyone learned and had a fun time.
Let us know what we did well and what we can do better! Thanks!

CONGRATULATIONS and "Hallelujah" on the first ever Alleluia! Sunday's COOL and small GROUP! Our church family is blessed to have such a committed and loving leader and staff who share in the excitment of teaching God's Word to our children. Thank you to everyone who participated. Thank You, Jesus, for Your very presence among the group. Amen.
Kathy here... I think, all things considering, Sunday's Cool went very well for our first time. We probably should move the older kids to a separate place like the teacher's lounge when going through the Power Cell cards. The adult teacher can go with them, and the teen helpers can stay with the younger kids as long as they are prepped ahead of time as to their role (including slowing down for the little ones). It takes too much time out of the morning to instruct them on what to do there. Can we copy off instructions for them as well? I think just the Power Cell part would be sufficient, with a reminder of the day's main point.
Also, if we end the morning with a lot more material than we have time to cover, we should consider revisiting the theme the following week. This will help us stretch our dollars, in addition to helping the kids remember what we've been teaching. Since there seems to be two activities for each section (Ignition, Velocity, and Power Cell), we could do one choice on one Sunday and another on the next. We might not feel so rushed, and it would give each child the chance to digest the material as well as discuss it.
Lastly, let's give ourselves time for a closing that includes an offering and music. I think your idea, Don, of letting the kids vote on where the money will go is good. See you this Sunday!
Hello everyone,
Lisa B. tried to post but couldn't so I'm posting her comments to me via e-mail:
Hi Don! I just wanted to let you know I had trouble posting on the blog so I thought I would email you. My kids seemed to really enjoy Sunday's Cool (they love the name!) and the singing was a big hit. Jacob said his favorite part was writing on each other's backs! I also wanted to offer again to set up some kind of preschool program if you want (since it sounded like some of the material was above them). I have several years of curriculum books, from teaching before, that range in age from 2 to 5 so we wouldn't have to buy anything. Also, it's very easy to follow so if we wanted to use it we could set up some kind of volunteer schedule for teachers ( the curriculums I have are Faith Weaver and Abingdon's Bible Zone). Of course, I could do it the first several times to get it started. Just let me know if it's something you want to try. Thanks!! Lisa
Megan H. posted a comment on Sunday's Cool under another post, but I wanted to copy it here so we could all see it. Thanks, Megan, for stepping up to help our kids worship!
Skipper Don,
We need to turn off the light next week during the singing time. Also we need to see if we can get louder music, the kids get more into it that way.
